The Old Town
Where do you live and what is it like? These are the questions we will be asking you because we want to find out about where you live and see how it compares with here. We can do this by taking you to Cromer to show you all the interesting facts about our town and the famous people who lived there.
I bet you have never heard of Harry Yaxley. Well, you will be amazed by what happened to him. And what about Henry Blogg? He was one of the most famous lifeboatmen in the country and got awarded loads of gold medals for his bravery, especially in WW2.
If you are very lucky you may be able to climb the church tower which is 50 METRES HIGH! It's the highest in Norfolk and there is a brilliant view from the top which makes the climb up hundreds of steps worth it. Cromer is a seaside town so you can go on the pier and see today's lifeboat and then stand in front of a building which will horrify you when you find out what is in there. You have to come here to find out.
You might go to Cromer Museum and find out all about being a fisherman in the past and see fossilised poo, or to the Lifeboat Museum where you can try on all the clothes and learn how to use Morse code.
Towns are full of exciting facts if you know where to look for them and we do!
