AALA

The Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority provides accreditation to centres providing adventurous activities.

Many schools believe that AALA accreditation is therefore essential for any centre before they will authorise a visit.

THIS IS COMPLETELY INCORRECT!

The Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority was, quite rightly, established to license adventurous activities.

However, the definition of these is quite specific and covers the higher risk activities such as climbing, abseiling, canoeing and sailing.

We do not operate any activities that are deemed adventurous under the scope of the AALA and are thus outside their scope.

There is, unfortunately, no licensing body for low risk activities such as those we offer although we are members of National Association of Field Studies Officers.
