Health and safety policy

We have a comprehensive Health and Safety policy with risk assessments and their controls for all the activities we offer. These can be downloaded at RISK ASSESSMENTS.

Our instructors are all first aid trained and carry first aid kits, throw lines, extra clothing, sun cream, mobile phones, and radios for communication.

Our off site activities take place in controlled environments which our staff have been using for many years. Our risk assessments cover all the hazards likely to be encountered in these areas.

Due to their many years experience, our staff know which beaches (and which parts of those beaches) are safest, the timings and heights of the tides, the current and forecasted weather conditions and wind direction and their likely effects on the environment and the group, the location of the nearest toilets (and  ice cream vans), where and when it may be safe to paddle etc.

I loved everything that we did, especially the problem solving activities and the monster trail. Aylmerton is the best school trip I have ever been on
