GORDON HISCOX (Senior Instructor)

Gordon is our "birdman" with an extraordinarily long CV. He is a Fellow of the Zoological Society of London; was the owner/curator of Kelling Park Aviaries Conservation and Bird Centre for four years; has two years experience of working with police and conservation parks to retrace/retrieve stolen birds; is a freelance consultant to police, local vets and the RSPCA; has been an advisor to the British Bird of Prey Centre and Rolf C Hagen for five years' is a licensed rehabilitation keeper for the Department of the Environment; is an advisor to local councils on court cases concerning all species; has 30+ years experience of giving talks and demonstrations to schools and groups; has been a retained fire-fighter for 25 years and holds a driving licence including AFED (Advanced Driving Licence for Fire Service).

Gordon has been an outdoor education instructor with us for five years and is in charge of our Patteson Lodge Centre in Coltishall. His radio name is Magpie.
