Ray was a professional plasterer for many years until kidney failure led to four years on dialysis and a kidney transplant.
Following his transplant, Ray worked for seven years doing maintenance in residential homes and activity centres.
Ray has worked for us since January 2004 (fully CRB checked as all our staff are) and it soon became obvious that he had a special rapport with the children.
We asked Ray to become a trainee instructor and, since then, he has continued to impress both us and visiting groups.
Ray’s radio name is Shrek. He has a natural talent for acting which was only uncovered on our first Evacuees week.
