Summer Term

Post-SATS is the time that most schools initially request for a Year 6 visit, simply because this is the time when school trips have traditionally been made. The advantages are obvious – SATS are over, the weather should be better (although rain is rain at any time of year) and everyone is getting into an end of term/holiday mood. The most obvious disadvantage is that prices and minimum numbers at this time of year are inevitably higher and the entire North Norfolk area, being a tourist destination, is far busier. Less obvious disadvantages include not being able to benefit from what the children learn (although their High School may thank you), the light evenings which make night activities somewhat less exciting and the tendency for some Year 6 children to be a little “demob happy”!
